The pool runs lengthwise along the water's edge so you can look directly over the inlet Vancouver's North Shore mountains - a beautiful view, especially on a clear sunny day. The shallow end of the pool is along its length so there's plenty of shallow water for kids to play in, and swimmers can swim very long lengths in lanes... More

A saltwater public pool in Vancouver located right on Kitsilano beach. Hugely popular with families in the summer months but you have to pay to use the pool.

Huge pool overlooking the ocean. Great place to swim, if like me you like a good workout it's about 75 metres, the pool has lines on the bottom to follow - ask the lifeguards which one is metric and which one is imperial! The pool is apparently fed from the ocean but it is not as saline as other pools... More

Kits Pool is a salt water pool, on the beach, with a gorgeous view of downtown and English Bay. If you like to swim outdoors it is open from May to Labour Day. It has a big pool deck that families enjoy as well.

This place is awesome, the view is spectacular, and you can swim in salt water. The cost is very affordable for families, and so much fun.

One of Vancouver's Gems. The largest Saltwater public pool in Vancouver located right on Kits beach. If you love to swim and are looking for a fun summer experience don't miss this one. It can get busy on hot summer days and you'll have to pay for parking.

This outdoor pool is beside Kitsilano beach is one of the largest in Vancouver. It's clean, not cold and fenced with lifeguards in strategic places. There are shallow parts for children and lap lanes for the athletics. Although it is a saltwater pool, the taste of the water was not salty at all. The temperature of the water is just... More

Huge pool, great for the kids, next to Kits beach. Wasn't too crowded even on a really hot day. Different depths so good for all ages.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
