Been on the Aquabus in both the summer & in the snow - views & scenery are awesome. Fun for adults on a pub crawl or family w/teens.

This is the best way to see all of false creek. Get from one end of the creek to the other and see the city from the water. Boats are safe and try to keep you dry on rainy days. Captains are friendly and knowledgeable. Good way to easily get to Granville Island and there Olympic Village areas.

These little ferries can take you from one side of False Creek (just an arm of the Bay) to the other or sight see along the whole length of False Creek. Being over 65 my wife and I got a very good rate (2/3).

We took the False Creek ferries from the aquarium to Granville Island. After a bit of shopping back on down to the Staples centre for a hockey game. Great way to see the sights and was fantastic as it was a cold snowy day.

The size of bathtubs, it takes you across the water real fast. If you can snag a ride go for it. It's faster than walking across the bridge or a cab.

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
