Not a very lovely place. A large sprawling industrial city, diverse population. Fine for business travel but not necessarily accommodating to pleasure travelers.

Nothing to complaint as this is a well planned city. However Downtown is known for costly properties probably the highest in Canada. Basically the city has every thing. Malls, Restaurants, Supermarkets and etc except for a gas station.

We've been 4 times in the past year and each visit just keeps getting better. The city is so clean, filled with friendly people, great architecture, shopping and restaurants. Even the drivers are so kind! I am from the U.S. but this is my go...More

Such a green, clean city. Loved walking around the city, and enjoying all the may sights of boats, buildings, parks, etc. Very bike friendly with many riding trails and lots of places along the way to stop in for a bite or a cold drink....More

I was very fortunate to visit Vancouver in September when it was warm and fry. Staying near the bay and walking around downtown was very beautiful.

A compact city that is easy to traverse by foot or various public transport options. It is truly walkable and by bicycle when the weather is nice and everything you would want to do and see is accessible. The landscape varies with area and terrain...More

There is a lot to see and do in downtown Vancouver. I chose to take the sea bus from North Van to DT, walked to Robson street towards Stanley Park. There were a lot of really fun and nice shops and restaurants along the way....More

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is
bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their
lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's
plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and
corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau
restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping
options. However, located right on the waterfront of

I was there in September and I don't believe Vancouver has much snow. We were told many Canadians retire to that area because of the "warmer" winters. However, Whistler has snow almost all year round. It is about 90 min... More

Vancouver is a "walking" city with great public transit. Whistler is a great little town, but if you only have one day, I would skip it as it's quite a drive there & back. Instead, I would enjoy Stanley, Granville Island... More

I presume you are renting a car, since you have 8 days to tour around I would suggest that you see Vancouver first, google "Sites in Vancouver" and it shows an array of things and places to see. Stanley Park is a must... More
