I'm not usually a city person but Vancouver is great. Small and friendly, it is a great place. There is an amazing variety of buildings. There is a great integrated transport system. A day pass can be used on bus's, trams and harbour ferry. Plenty...More

Was here pre cruise and the entire area was crowded and busy. Lots of energy, beautiful buildings and terrific architecture. Lots to walk around and see, including the spectacular waterfront.

We took a great tour and that gave us some context, without it it wouldn't be nearly as interesting. Lots of old historic buildings and new art installations that are amazing and worth seeing.

Don't bring a car...and that's a good thing. Mass transit is great, city is ver walkable, and you can rent bicycles everywhere. This city really caters to safe cycling with dedicated and PROTECTED bike lanes.

Vancouver Downtown is a very pleasant, interesting place. One can find just about anything here: lots of eating places, shops, supermarkets, expensive department stores, etc. The streets are busy, there are lots of people everywhere and they are friendly and polite. Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is

I have never been to Vancouver and am wondering if it snows in the city or if we can find snow nearby? We are thinking of visiting the week of christmas? My kids want to stay where it snows but I don't want to stay too far from the city. Any suggestions?

I was there in September and I don't believe Vancouver has much snow. We were told many Canadians retire to that area because of the "warmer" winters. However, Whistler has snow almost all year round. It is about 90 min... More

Vancouver is a "walking" city with great public transit. Whistler is a great little town, but if you only have one day, I would skip it as it's quite a drive there & back. Instead, I would enjoy Stanley, Granville Island... More

I have 8 days to go between Vancouver and Seattle - for those of you who know both of these areas and what's inbetween, I'm wondering how much time you'd spend in both towns and how much time you'd take driving (including stops to whatever may be interesting to see inbetween). thanks for your thoughts!

I presume you are renting a car, since you have 8 days to tour around I would suggest that you see Vancouver first, google "Sites in Vancouver" and it shows an array of things and places to see. Stanley Park is a must... More
