Used the service to return to the airport at the end of our stay to this wonderful part of the world. A brilliant service akin to our Supertram in Sheffield, England except that our tram runs in part on roads so could not be driverless. A brilliant service that presumably always runs on time. I wonder if the London Underground... More

I have used the skytrain extensively on my travels to Vancouver, its always clean and though busy at peak times, it never feels uncomfortable. On my recent visit the carriage was cleaned at a station stop because a passenger had been ill - dealt with quickly and efficiently.Well done!

We had a 9 hour layover and the train got us to downtown in about 25 minutes. buy the all day pass so you can hop on and off. When we got back to the airport we handed the pass to others

The SkyTrain is a great way to get around Vancouver. We rented a car the first time but the second time walked and took SkyTrain. Vancouver is an incredible beautiful city and SkyTrain makes it easy to see the city. Also great way to get to and from the airport.

So very easy. Straight across the road from the airport, buy the ticket from a machine at the station. This train was super simple. We got off in the centre of the city, but could have opted for the next station too. End of the line is right near the pier for cruise ships. $9 each ticket. Gates were easy... More

Living anywhere near the skytrain can be a boon to easy travel, but the train is not kept within legal decibel levels to its very unfortunate neighbours i have to wear heavy duty earplugs every night

I work with two blind refugees who use skytrain. The attendants have been so helpful and kind in assisting these two people to find the right train, make it through the turnstiles without incident and find their way out to the street at the end of their journey. Thanks to the good staff who assure everyone has equal access to... More

Gets you there and back across, normally within about 1/2 hour one way East to West, or North to South, in conjunction with the Seabus ferry to the North Shore, if needed.

Excellent travel option. Spotlessly clean inside and stations and tracks. Automated so no drivers. Good value of 9 dollars for a day pass.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
