The concierge recommended this hotel, and now I know why: the seafood and steaks are excellent. In addition, the decor and service are nothing less than superb.

We went to the restaurant side and had great meals. Our server was spot on. He knew the menu and the food very well and was able to make good recommendations that kept everyone in our party of 5 happy. The ambiance is wonderful, especially for those looking to have a quiet meal with good conversation and great food. I... More

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and our server was very tentative. I had the ribeye and my husband had the porterhouse. The steaks were awesome and so was the wine. We really did enjoy ourselves, glad one of my co-workers recommended this place!

Not the best steak I've ever had - for the price I found it very salty and nothing special. Wouldn't go back.

Didn't try the cocktails but the steaks were really good; texture and flavour were just right. The price seemed expensive to us but we soon learned that Canada is expensive to us poor Europeans!

Why this and the Irish Heather made in into this Trip Advisor list of Vancouver attractions is a complete joke. It discounts the entire listing. I want to nominate the public washroom at Hastings St and Main St as a must-see attraction then.

We went to Gotham's for a romantic date night through a recommendation from our concierge, and we were more than pleased. I ordered a double-cut rack of lamb and my girlfriend ordered a bone in rib steak. Both meats were prepared exquisitely!! The waiter warned us that the portions were generous, but much to our surprise, the portions were more... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
