Fun shops

My teenage daughter and I enjoyed poking through all of the shops, looking for fun trinkets to take home. The markets had beautiful produce displayed on the sidewalks.

If you're in the area and in need of a quick look, then stroll on through. However, the Chinatowns of a variety of other West Coast Cities shine more brightly: Seattle, San Francisco, just to name a couple. I'd not make this my special destination while in the area, but it's worth a quick look.

Architecture, gates, lights, and streamers are fantastic. Restaurants, including Peking duck hanging in windows, are abundant. Small alleys (eg Fan Tan Alley) lead to hidden shops. This is a compact Chinatown but worth a visit. Water taxi service available to and from Inner Harbor.

Not a lot to see but visiting the narrowest street in the world - Fan Tan Alley is a bit of an experience.

It is not a trip to Chinatown without trying one of the restaurants that feature dim sum, especially the traditional ones where carts are still wheeled by and you get to chose the food that looks interesting.

So many cool shops, restaurants, street lights and so on. Great shopping, interesting dining. A great place to visit. Parking is a challenge if you drive and meters are 2 hour max so be prepared.

Lots to see and do. Fan Tan alley, is a great attraction. All the different stores, from trinkets, clothes, food, restaurants. It is located right in the heart of Victoria. Don't miss going there.

We went to China Town for lunch and had a nice meal followed by a delicious egg tart. China town in Victoria is about one block long and can be covered in a short amount of time. There's not really much here but the food is good..
