The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the Whistler Sliding Centre continues to challenge the sports’ most elite athletes with international competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. Visitors are invited to tour the state-of-the-art facility, or experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down part of the 1,450 meter-long ice track. Public Bobsleigh and Skeleton programs on ice will resume in December 2017. Athlete training and competitions on ice will start again in October 2017. Summer Bobsleigh on wheels will run again from late June until September 2018. Year-round, visitors can access the Whistler Sliding Centre's public areas for Sightseeing daily from 9am until 5pm (except public holidays). Site access is not permitted outside these hours.

This is a great way to experience the bobsled ride. The tour guides/drivers are fantastic! You get to walk the course for part of the way (don't worry, it's downhill) which is very cool. The ride itself is fast and rather physical. My wife said...More

This is unmissable if you are a fan of winter sports. The ride on the track will be less than a minute, but what a minute! An awesome experience in itself, and for us, the long preamble, with a tour of the facility, a walk...More

Husband and I made the trip to Whistler to do the bobsled before it closed for the summer season. This is a dry, non ice bobsled ride with wheels on the sled. From check in, orientation, tour of the un-iced track and the ride, the...More

Hello BeccaHors, We are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience. Our public programs are designed as comprehensive sport experiences vs pure amusement rides. Aside from the ride down the Olympic track and the activity-related safety orientation, we give our guests a look behind...More

The whole experience is more than just the 52 second ride through the bobsleigh. The whole tour is almost 2 hours, starting with the intriductions, team formation, ride upto the starting point, explanations, safety instructions. But we do not start from the very top, as...More

I was initially nervous about this, as I'm not one for rollercoasters etc. The experience leading up to the ride was great. Our guide was brilliant and we got to tour the site and understand a lot more about the track the athletes use. The...More

This was an amazing experience. Although not as fast as the winter bobsleigh, the summer bobsleigh also allows you a short walk on the actual Olympic track, before you take to the sleigh for the 50-odd sec ride to the bottom. The staff are so...More

Go pros and selfie sticks are not allowed. You have to keep all body parts inside. They do film it for you and it's completely worth it!! Also you are going pretty fast so you might lose that stick and cause some damage.
