Very helpful staff. Clean. Well organized. We were doing research for a University paper on Mark Fortune, and found plenty of information and photos. The only downside was parking, expensive if you plan on spending any length of time.

You attend this building to pull documents which you need to copy on the spot as you can't take it with you. Unfortunately, they have an old machine which doesn't do double sided copies you end up being there much, much, much longer than anticipated. A great historical building and architecture, but please get a new photocopier!

We were here as part of a Conference tour, we got a tour of the HBC archives. I am a bit of a history nerd so I was in heaven. The staff is really nice. I'm not sure they would normally give a tour but if you are interested, I would try to. A lot of neat stuff!

The staff was very helpful to me when I was looking for particular documents. They helped me with some key words. I don't know why there is such a high level of security though.

Thank sssphoenix
