One of Fredericton’s most beautiful and historic areas, Officers’ Square was named one of the Top 10 Public Spaces in Canada! It was a centre of military activity when Fredericton was garrisoned by the British and Canadian Armies. During July and August, it is the site for outdoor summer concerts, the Changing of the Guard ceremony, daily outdoor theatre, and a variety of festivals and events throughout the year.

Great Place for outdoor concerts in the summer. Very nice place to skate in the winter. If you are in the Fredericton area, check to see what events may be going on at this place.

A multi-purpose, multi-season gem in the heart of Downtown Fredericton, this is a place to check out whenever you're in the downtown area, just to see what's going on today. A focal point for many events and activities, it seems there is almost always something going on -- whether it's the Changing of the Guard during summer months, to one... More

What a wonderful opportunity to see and experience in Fredericton. Go there when the guards parade is on to experience the event. If you are on a short visit to Frederiction than this is a must.

Always something going on no matter the season. Ice skating, music and other venues. It is free and is in the center of the city. Nice view of the Saint John River.

My wife and I decided to plan a weekend getaway for New Years in Fredericton. Officers Square was absolutley beautiful, the city did an amazing job, live music, warming huts, cider, beer tent, large fire, and two sets of fireworks, one for the kids and one for the adults. Our weekend was absolutley perfect! Thank you Fredericton!!!

I've been to many events at "Officer's Square", and have always had a good time. As for visiting when nothing is going on, I'm not sure I see the value. Perhaps there is more to it in summer time, but right now there is nothing to see. More signs or placards on the history of the square would be helpful.

This is an historic site in Fredericton NB. During the summer they have many activities. Like concerts and craft fairs ,changing of the gourd by military cadets dressed in period costumes. During the winter it is turned into an ice rink for skating and at times outdoor curling. There is also a military museum at the square. If you come... More
