We are currently renovating part of our existing building to provide an enhanced visitor experience, as well as in preparation for joining the new pavilion under construction to the existing facility. Because of the central location of this work, and because of the nature of the projects involved, the building will be temporarily closed to visitors from January 18, 2016, until May, 2016. We regret the inconvenience to visitors, and look forward to welcoming you into our renovated space in May. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery, a gift to the people of New Brunswick from Lord Beaverbrook (Sir Max Aitken), features works by Canadian and British artists and a unique sample of works from international artists. The Gallery exhibits an exciting mix of works from its own collection as well as works and exhibitions on loan from other institutions.

Having just visited the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, I would say that it isn’t too bad for a small city. As they were reorganizing a few rooms there was no charge for our entrance, although we left a small donation. The gallery presents a wide range...More

The recent renovations have increased the space considerably. The Masterwork collection includes Salvador Dali's Santiago El Grande and J.M.W. Turner's The Fountain of Indolence and Lucian Freud's Hotel Bedroom. They also have a good selection of more local artists.

From outside, it does not look very remarkable. There are a few interesting looking sculptures in the garden outside. Once inside, the whole museum is much bigger than I thought. Aside from some modern art exhibitions and photography, there are also some older works and...More

$10 per adult to get in. Paintings, photos, and some sculpture. Not that large of a museum. Does have one Salvador Dali painting.
