Rockwood is a large park in the city of Saint John, it has swimming, hiking, boating, and ice skating to name a few, it also has a golf course and a zoo in its borders.

The setting is beautiful and it is a nice little spot to stop and have lunch. We were there past tourist season but I would imagine the beach would be lovely on a warm summer day. The lobster and crab roll was delicious.

So much to offer in the heart of the city. Trails for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, biking. Canoes and gear rentals available at outfitters shop. Restaurant on site, several lakes. The pavilion houses locker rooms and a banquet centre. Playground, horse barn, sleigh rides and horseback riding. Swimming in two lakes with lifeguards in summer.

While being thoroughly disappointed with Saint John overall we were pleasantly surprised with how big and beautiful Rockwood park was. My wife and I used the hop on-hop off bus to get off and explore for while on a warmer than average October day. It was the middle of the week and not busy at all, we actually saw very... More

Great place to spend a day! All day mountain biking on the trails, a swim and picnic on the beach of the lakes. Get a delicious lunch at lily's cafe on the deck hanging over lily lake! An absolute gem saint john is lucky to have.

Rockwood Park is situated just outside the centre of St John and is an amazingly beautiful place. Spend hours wandering around the different trails and admiring the scenery which is especially spectacular in the Fall

This is a remarkable place in the city to spend time and relax. There are a number of walking trails and several lakes. For children , there are several age appropriate playgrounds close to parking areas. The latest bonus is an arboretum which is well signed and informative. The information building is well maintained and staffed with very helpful people. There... More

Stopped here during a tour with our cruise ship. The park is stunning and well kept. While we only toured a partial area, it was well kept.
