This historic spot at the top of a hill affords a fabulous view of St. John's, NF., and marks the spot where Marconi's transatlantic message was received. Wear a jacket and hat...the wind is incredible!

Signal Hill is a very cool spot. The view from their both of the ocean and the city of St. John's very cool. They have well documented storyboards all around the site and tons of walking trails of all skill levels.

Lots of reviews for this place, so I don't have much to add. Great views, nice little shop, and interesting history. Won't take you long to see it all.

Signal hill is an “of course” if you come to St. John’s. My wife and I like to walk..in early 50s...staying at the Jag (far side of town from Signal Hill). We ignored recommendations to take a cab up and walk down and I’m glad...More

A short drive from Water and George Streets you will find this gem. Easy parking although the wind can blow quite hard at times. The panoramic view overlooks the harbour entrance and open seas. No two days -or even hours - are the same weatherwise,...More

There are two ways to get up to Signal Hill - by road and car to the car park at the top (perhaps with a stop in the visitor centre on the way, if it happens to be open), or by walking along the footpath...More

As far as I'm concerned, Signal Hill is a must for the view. The Rooms was good, but exhausting to see it all and if you're not into museums, don't go if you only have 4 days. We took an O'Brien's Bay Bulls boat tour and... More

The tattoo is only on certain days and times. It wasn't on when I was visiting but I would look on their website. I would say no seating - it's in a field. I doubt there are reservations.
