The lighthouse is for anyone who can climb a hill and enjoy the view. We wanted to hike the East Coast Trail for a few hours but ended up on a trail that passes below the lighthouse - DON'T do it. Dangerous and steep. Either...More

Great stop if you're in the St. John area. You get to walk to the most easterly point in Canada (and mainland North America). The actual point was under construction, but we got close enough. We even spotted whales and icebergs from the top!

Great walking tour around the cape and got surprised by 4 or 5 whales feeding just below the cape. The parking was good and they had clean washrooms. Might go back for sunrise as it is not far from the city

This is a great place if you're into whales watching and good scenic view. We travelled with two children 6 and 11 and it was an informative historical trip for them. This place takes about 3 hours to visit all points.

Cape Spear is the easternmost point of North America. The area is flush with hiking trails which take you to some wonderful views of the Atlantic, the landscape and the oceanfront.

A beautiful spot just a short drive from Saint John's. Best part was watching multiple whales in the distance
