Quidi Vidi is a hidden gem close to downtown. Historical area with lots of walking paths, interesting houses, a cute brewery that sells flights of beer, and and thy host quite a rowing regatta in the summer.

A pleasent walk around the lake followed by a taster of beers from the Quidi Vidi Brewery - a great evening.

This gets so much hype, but seeing it in person was disappointing, despite its history, charm, location, etc. I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

Turn one way and you won't see too much, but turn the other way at the sharp curve and a quaint fishing port comes into view, plus the Quidi Vidi Plantation and brewery. There is not a lot of parking near the harbour, but I...More

A very tight spot when it is busy but there is a lot there in the little cove . And if the weather is bad go see Quidi Vidi brewery and have a pint of the best beer I found in Newfoundland.

What an absolute depiction of small town Newfoundland! Narrow winding streets and quaint original homes in an absolute picturesque setting. Good dining at Mallard Cottage and neat Brewery in the centre of town. Don't miss coming here.

Everything was so fresh and clean at the 'Gut' I was disappointed that the Flake House was gone but sure makes me miss home!

This is a neat place. Streets are narrow, Blink and you will miss it. It wasn’t clear that we were actually there. Didn’t stop at the brewery.

We walked here from St. John's via Signal Hill, fortunately we had pre-planned it because none of the signs on the footpaths actually said "Quidi Vidi" - a little local knowledge was required to get us to our destination. The village was very pretty and...More
