Some of the finest crystal in the world is made in Nova Scotia, Canada. On the scenic Halifax waterfront, NovaScotian Crystal follows a centuries-old tradition of mouthblowing and hand-cutting each and every piece. Something of a landmark on the city’s busy waterfront, the glassworks where our crystal is made often draws an audience. Come see several craftsmen working together as they pull molten crystal from the clay oven and fashion it into things of beauty.

My mother and I are a fan of crystal glass and glass art. This was one of the shops we stopped by after the maritime museum. It was super high on our list. They have an openning to the public to watch their glass blowing process. There's also a viewing window inside the shop (for those who want to get... More

When you enter the shop there is an area to your left where you can see the craftsmen working on items. They are very focused on their projects. There are a variety of crystal items available. The store has just introduced a new crystal 5/6 oz wine glass in 6 different patterns at $75.00 each. Titanic is one of the... More

Beautiful hand-crafted crystal! Fun to see the pieces being made on sight. The pieces I liked were in the $100-$250 price range.

We stopped by here but missed the demonstration of the crystal blowing. They were polishing the day we went. The pieces of art, crystal, were displayed throughout the store. It is wonderful and adds so much more to see it in your hand versus the website images. They even had a special lighthouse crystal candle holder. When the candle is... More

" MADE IN CANADA " I love it. What an amazing showcase of quality, local talent and precious CRYSTAL (not glass) products. After we watched the demonstration of crystal blowing, we watched the etching process from inside. Then we toured the showroom and saw many spectacular pieces that we wanted for our home and as a keep sake. We did... More

Right outside the front door you can watch the men put the glass in the furnace then pull it out and watch them blow into the pole holding the glass while it makes shapes then they rub it and put it in water to cool off. If you have never seen this done, it's definitely a neat thing to see.... More

In the middle of renovations but the the staff took all the time we needed. They were great showing us every item we requested. Popped over to Halifax for a little winter vacation. Had a wonderful visit in this shop. Besides the crafted items being stunning, the service was exceptional. Kristie, the cashier, was so very informative and delightful. We were able to watch the artisans in the process of making the crystal. Kristie explained the entire process of the crafting that we were... More
