A nice boat ride but not a whale watching tour

We sat on the patio which is partially covered and enclosed so even on a day of 50km winds, like today, it was great! Aw3some views right on the water. We shared the 2 piece fish and chips. Perfect for 2. Way too much for one. The place is really large but it seems they must accept pre-orders for large... More

For the money it was very disappointing. Staff were knowledgeable but when all you see are gulls, a lobster they bring up from the pot and a seals head it was a boring 2 hours. Certainly wouldn't recommend it in September !!

I purchased a ticket online just after my conference in downtown Halifax. (This means I did not read any reviews on it.) After purchasing the ticket, I read some review and 5 stars were given from people who saw whales and 1 or so stars were given from who didn't see whales. I give 4 stars because on the website,... first of all, there is absolute no guarrantee that you will see any wildlife, as animals don't keep schedules! You have to be lucky to see some. On our trip, the captain did his best to find something to see and even made some detours making the total trip longer than expected, which was good. In the end we saw... More

This boat ride was very enjoyable but wasn't a whale watching tour. There are 2 levels to the boat - the bottom level is mostly enclosed with a bar and booth seating and the upper level is open with plastic picnic tables. The crew included marine biologists who were great and very informative and lively! You stop and they pull... More

We did not actually go on this Wale watching trip as Murphy's cancelled our allocation the night before our cruise ship was due to arrive!!!! To make matters worse they had sold the whole allocation for the cruise to the cruise line and could not accommodate us for this trip. We were offered alternatives ( 4:30pm Wale watching trip but... 2 Minke whales and dozens of dolphins!! We were delighted to join the crew in their excitement once we spotted the marine life. The crew dropped a microphone into the water in order for us to hear various calls from the dolphins. A lobster trap was brought onto the boat and there were oppourtunities for all visitors to take photos... More

Nice trip for 2.5 hours on the water in the sun. Friendly and enthusiastic crew who are marine biologists. However this is NOT a whale watching your. We did not see any seals, whales or sealife. We only saw a lobster which the crew had caught.....However it was interesting to hold and learn about lobsters close up. Reading the other... More

Our family enjoyed the cruise. Staff was very knowledgeable about the harbour and local attractions and sea life. We didn't see any wildlife other than the birds which we fed at the end of the cruise. Kids loved it and wife didn't get sea sick. Smiles all around.

This was a great trip. We saw seals and porpoises. Unfortunately no whales that day, but we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Great value. Lots of information about people the history of Halifax. Lots of activity in the harbour to see.
