This old clock and tower were built by Prince Edward who insisted on accurate time keeping. The clock rings out the time for the town to hear. Located on the grassy hillside of the fort called The Citadel, it can be seen from the harbor.

This clock shares in the history of the Citadel and of Halifax. It stands out from a fair distance away.

While many just see a clock, most don't realize the history of it. Once you know that, you will appreciate it even more.

OK, it is awesome that it is still there, not much more to it than that. You will pass it walking to the Citadel anyway so have a look.

As it is in close proximity to the Citadel, it is a must stop for a quick browsing. Not the most interesting point in the city, but it has its own history, and is good for a focal or meeting point.

Very impressive halfway up steep hill to citadel. Stand out in the area and clock in working order, very ornate and still loudly chimes the time

When we were here we found many tourists taking pictures of this historic and gorgeous building and clock. We followed the Asians and did the same thing.
