Worth the time to cross the harbor by ferry. The views of both cities are fabulous! Bring your cameras and wear comfy shoes for your stroll along the Halifax waterfront. Enjoy!

The Halifax- Dartmouth ferry is a very inexpensive way to see both waterfronts. For only $2.50, you can enjoy a lovely boat ride on a fine summer day & also receive a bus transfer if needed.

Recommended by tourist guide, this short and cheap ferry from St Johns, Halifax to Dartmouth was clean and fun. If you return by noon, the return trip is free. It was a market day in Dartmouth, locals selling homegrown and homemade produce. Excellent.
