It was very quiet & cold on our tour. Some great views of the border & rainbow bridge. We also saw some squirrels 😇

There are those who would blow these places up and restore the river to its former splendor if they could, but I have always been fascinated with the possibilities and blessings nature can provide to the needs of mankind .

Stopped by. No one there, just a call station phone. Tried it and Security says tours ended about 4 years ago.

This is the home of hydro-electric power and worth stopping to look if you are passing. It's rather industrial but at the time of construction was the largest hydro-electric generating station in the world.

Even if you can't tour the facility, it's kind of amazing to stop at the overlook and see the power plant and all the power lines.

The building is not open for tours, but you could park at either the small roadside parking lot at the south end of the plant or the floral clock and view the penstocks on the edge of the gorge.
