This park is a quiet get away to an area that is a product of the falls and the hydroelectric power enginering protocols. Fun to see the birds that gather there and good for a picnic.

Lovely nature reserve, with lots of space to walk and enjoy the surroundings. Also plenty of birds, ducks and geese to see and you can get really close. We saw goslings which were very cute.

It's ok! If you have bread crumbs, bring some to feed birds!!! and recommend to wear rain boots or something like you don't care about boots. Your boots will get dirty!

We went for a walk around Dufferin Islands last evening. It is great to walk the trails and little bridges and see nature right in Niagara Falls. You can just drive your car around the islands or stop have a picnic. There are so many birds and we even saw a racoon. It is very relaxing and it is free.... More

At the recommendation of the concierge of our hotel, I ended up running through this area on a rainy and windy morning. If we had stayed any longer and the weather would have been nicer I would have taken the family for further exploring. It is quite close to the falls, yet off the beaten path. Great for a picnic... We have been in the summer and winter. It's really quite beautiful and very peaceful. At Christmas it is just awesome so worth the drive through. We return every year.

The festival of lights in the winter is really lovely here. Drive your car through in the evening on snowy night, so quiet, and you can her the thunder of the falls. Summer time is scenic, and lovely spot for a walk to see the geese and ducks.....wear hiking shoes or boots....lots of goose poop lol

this is located across from the upper falls. You can walk through the many nature trails, or drive slowly around the area. Lots of water, several ducks/geese can be fed, different small wildlife seen when taking the trails. Best of all it is FREE. Come winter, everything is decorated with Xmas images & all lit up. Sponsored by winter festival... More

Nice place for picnics, quiet place for a walk. Spectacular in winter with Festival of Lights! Always busy, but well worth the wait?

I haven't been there in 40 years, as I live in the west. But I grew up in Buffalo, and one of my fondest memories is swimming at Dufferin Islands. We'd sit under the tiny falls and let them pound our backs. It was dreamy.
