There is so much to see and do along the nature areas from zip lining, to riverboat cruises, to exploring the whirlpool, or just walking along the safe and well maintained walkway or driving for miles enjoying the River's beauty: the incredible bridges, the power plants; the beautiful natural flowers.

People come to Niagara Falls to see the waterfalls but it was obvious driving around the area that there are a lot of nature things to do, plenty of green wooded areas where you could walk and wander about see the river and also be away from the crowds.

Sunny day and we walked to the whirlpool. Parking paid for by the hour or for a day otherwise no charge. Trails not well marked but easy to follow. Definitely need walking shoes as there is mud (day after rain) and lots of rocks. Day we were there was so quiet - hardly any people which was bliss. Lovely combination... More

This area was underconstruction when we went. They are adding some kind of adventure park and fixing the lookout plat form. We were not permitted to go to lookout platform d/t this. But Gorge looked scenic from other areas.

This is a stop away from the bustle of down town but breath taking. The wooded walkway offers great views and photo opportunities.

Park and walk along the top if your fitness levels are low. You can experience wonderful views from the top along good pathways. There is signage for the walks you can take and there are lots of steps. The whole Area is stunning and you hear the water all the time.

Highly recommend trails open all year round. Read the trail map before you go (download or take a picture with you) as the signs on the trails are not good (some of them are spray painted on the rocks - what a shame). Don't go at night. Don't get to close to the rapids (you probably know that). Free. Good... More

The Niagara Glen Nature Area (just south of the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory) is a hikers delight. Stairs lead you down the face of the gorge cliff to abundant walking trails wind through the forest and along the river edge. Time the walk right and you will witness jet boats roaring up river or riding the rapids down river (a... More
