Randomly stopped by here and was pleasantly surprised! It was very interesting to see the old bottles and different medicines for the various ailments. I love vintage, antique, old things, so I had a nice time looking at everything. The building itself is also nice....More

Of the many times we have been to Niagara on the Lake we have been unfortunate enough to never have found the Niagara Apothecary Museum opened. A look in the window shows a display that would warrant a closer look. A sign indicating hours of...More

The information on this page indicates that the museum is open at this time of the year, but in fact, a notice on the door and on many other websites says it is closed during the winter months. That is unfortunate, in that a peek...More

So very interesting place. Every time we are in Niagara-on-the-Lake we go in and look around. It is the oldest apothecary store in Ontario. Walking in this place puts you back to another era. It’s amazing to see how one used to get their medicines....More

This was a very interesting place to visit. It was like stepping back in time. It only takes a few minutes to stop in and imagine what medicine must have been like long ago.

A look back in time at what a drugstore used to look like. The volunteers are retired pharmacists so lots of knowledge.

We just chanced in to this little museum and enjoyed learning about the history of pharmacies. The advertisements from long ago were interesting. To see the different medicines and what they could be used to cure was fascinating as you realize that these old wives...More

Worth a couple of minutes to walk around. A lot of historical articles to review. Great time killer for men while their wives shop.
