This is a fun place to explore, the best part for me is knowing that all the paintings/ art you see are from local people. I love the feel of the place, its simplicity and celebration of our 'artistic' selves. You can take classes here, this week there is a wool felting class, you end up with a unique artistic... More

Exhibits of the work of Instructors, Students, and Local Artists were open, in both gallery and classroom areas of this local teaching Arts center. As artists ourselves, we enjoyed seeing the work of this particular location, and the setting of their community arts classes and workshops.

Wonderful location and combination of art and nature. Lovely restored house - a place to stay - after visiting with a book in the garden!

I recently visited the above art display of Ron Clavier's work at the Pumphouse and was amazed at the quality of Ron's work. His passion for John Steinbeck's work resounds through each piece and the commentary accompanying each painting by Woody Harrelson backed by an amazing musical talent makes this a truly worthwhile event to attend and visualize. You have... More

The Pumphouse offers contemporary art exhibits, sometimes by local Niagara region artists. Also classes, lectures and special events.

Interesting artwork displayed in an historic old building situated on a scenic spot. A nice place to spend a few minutes while on your way to or from the Shaw Festival.

Two rooms of art in a heritage building near to the mouth of the Niagara River. Entrance is free (small donation appreciated) with a variety of artists showing their latest works. Beautiful sea scape paintings current show. Open every afternoon during tourist season.

The old pump sits out in the parking lot. It worked a very long time. The art centre has some artist painting on the walls, and also acts as a actual in-use art learning centre.

My sister & I stopped to have a look! Wonderful river views & of the Fort ! The Art Gallery was a pleasant surprise. An array of paintings by teachers & students of the area. Terrific talent! The building has been restored beautifully!

Twenty years ago this abandoned Pump House became both a school for the visual arts, as well as a gallery to showcase works of local artists. High quality instruction by working artists provides help and directions for all levels of abilities. Monthly salons feature creative persons whose work will be displayed for the following month. There are many special events... More
