We love picnicking near this falls. The bike path through here along the river is easy and fun. Also beautiful in winter.

It was cold winter day, and we were the only two there. The waterfall was just right by the highway and you cannot miss it. It's pretty small and we spent 1 hour just walking around and taking pictures. The view was indeed spectacular! One of my tour highlights in Ottawa!

Take you kids. Walk along the rocks on the shore. Listen to the pounding of the water. A real pretty spot in central Ottawa. Enjoy the park next door on a sunny afternoon.

Rode our bike here on day from Carleton University. It is nice quiet place with different falls in the same area. What I mean is there are a few small falls in this area. There is a park here as well so you can drive to it. It is along the Rideau Canal.

Visiting these nice water falls, having a picnic at Vincent Macey park next by and watching the moving Prince of Wales bridge would be a memorable day to spend in Ottawa.

Whether you are visiting or live here, do take in the park and falls at Hog's Back. You can view from above roam around up and down and behind enjoying nature and getting very close to the falls. Take your camera!
