Good for Squash, but don't rely on the towels!

The gym was fine. Like every other gym in the world, I guess. That's not the problem though. When I tried to cancel they kept charging... even beyond the one-month notice. I was told the guy made a mistake when entering the cancellation date. I called to complain again, they said the would refund but not until the system charged... More

I started going there in November and lost 45 pounds using the eliptical and some machines. I do cardio 4 to 5 times a week. The place is tidy and staff friendly. sometimes it is busing for parking can be tight in early evenings. Overall a great place. i am a man of 50 years of age.

Terrible, terrible, and more terrible. Even the employees now think it is acceptable to slam weights to the floor-gym has no etiquette or class. I am moving to Movati. I have spoken to customer service and management numerous times-futile.

Lots of locations, most are clean and efficient with good hours. Some 24hr locations...too. Worth checking out - chain has a quasi- monopoly on fitness gyms in certain parts of Ontario. But they do a pretty solid job.

I've been a member of Goodlife for years, and frequent the Queensview location multiple times weekly. In fact I first went there when it was the Queensview Racquetball club and there was smoking inside at the bar! Times have changed, and the bar is gone, but the squash community is fantastic and the pro (a former PSA top 10) is... More

My wife chose the "pay as you go" (No Lock-In Contract) option (more expensive) one due to her uncertain timetable and paid $100 membership fee and one week later she found out she was pregnant. She texted the membership girl (Leonie) to suspend her membership until her doctor allows resuming workouts and received an email indicating she will be charged... More

My self and friend went to visit their new location and did a 3 days free trial, noticed that the staff trainers/sales person all they focus on is to hysterically make you become member and sing contract . We were very interested to visit their hot yoga room , we took a couple of classes but we were disappointed that... More

Nice fitness cubs should have WIFI, a nice swimming pool and new equipment. Unfortunately, for the high price, that's not what you get at GoodLIfe Fitness clubs around Ottawa. In addition, some of their group classes are so crowded that you might as well give up and go home.

Be warned that it is virtually impossible to cancel your membership. I tried one day and they informed me that I would have to return for an "exit interview". When I told them that I wan't to quit the gym, not join, they repeated that I would have to schedule and return for an interview. I told them to stop... More

The staff are more marketers and fast talking salesman more than anything. I got suckered into a contract as they forced me to sign on the same day I arrived for the three day free trial. I tried to cancel it and what they did instead was put a 'no charge' hold on my account. But I was still charged... More
