A great stroll along Bank Street, which offers something for everyone. A highlight for me is always Mrs. Tiggy Winkles' (a toy shop for kids of any age) and the Great Glebe Emporium (a kitchen store). Very walkable.

My first introduction to the Glebe was seeing it from the Rideau Canal on a boat tour. The lovely old mansions, the parks in their autumn glory, the colourful flower beds along the Queensway, the magnificent churches, & more inspired my husband & I to later drive through the area for a closer look. Bank Street with all its restaurants... More

I lived in Ottawa for four years, and when I came back for a visit this is the part of the city I chose to spend most of my time. There's lots of shopping and dining to be done, and the neighbourhoods are beautiful.

I love this spot in the city! All Bank Street you can find the most gorgeous local little shops, very far from all those big boxes cookie cuted stores. You can find unique treasures. Our favorite spot is Wag Pet Shop, a Caffe where you are allowed to bring your dog inside and have a treat. Delicious drinks, baked goods... More

We were staying in this neighbourhood and walked to the shops. Lots of interesting little shops, small book stores, cafes etc had a small town kind of feel. We enjoyed it.

Bank st is the major thoroughfare with many side streets with residential houses. The edge of Bank at the river is more upscale and trendy with restaurants, a Whole Foods and of course TD Place stadium, which is a sight in itself. Further up Bank are smaller shops, delicious restaurants, and the place takes on a slightly more bohemian but... More

You will soon discover why this area is so popular to live near. The Glebe is primary Bank Street and all its feeder residential streets. This area is full of unique shops, restaurants, cafes and stores to make most locals and tourists very happy. The showcase location is now Landsdown which is a shopping, relaxation, entertaining and foodie location. Whole... More
