I hesitate to post this because it could have been a lovely tour. It was unseasonably warm and it took a very long time to get to the canyon and back. We could only get out and stretch our legs. It was safety issues due...More

This is a day long tour. Colours in the fall are breathtaking! Bring your own lunch, prices of food on train are outrageous! Eat it before or after canyon stop. You are only allowed 90 mins at the canyon, and you will want to sightsee...More

We lucked out on the weather and had a beautiful sunny day for our trip. The scenery was fantastic. We spent our 90 minutes in the canyon walking around and had a picnic lunch in our seats on the return trip.

After years of thinking about it, we took this excursion. I am a bit of a train lover, so my positive remarks may be tainted by my love of trains. IMO: The price was reasonable for the tour. The train departed very much on time:...More

The train trip is good but a little long. The snack car seemed very far and I think a lot of senior passengers would not even try to walk on a moving train. A food wagon would be great and maybe help break up the...More

The train was an hour late arriving in the morning, and over four hours late returning us in the evening and that was with a 20 minute stop rather than the promised 90 minute stop at the canyon. The water and food ran out quickly...More

Both sides offer amazing views. You can see out both sides of the train during the trip so either side is fine. Food and drink is very pricey so you may want to take basic snacks and water. Alcohol is available in some of... More

The staff suggests to leave any of your belonging so you can identify your seat on your way back. To answer your question yes it is safe enough to leave it on the train. I myself had left few snacks, Jacket and a Camera bag... More
