Visited Hernder to check out their wedding venue. We were told someone specific would be there to show us around but she wasn't. Looked at the venue and it was so dated looking, not sure why anyone would have their wedding there.

Hernder might be a little off the beat and path. But it is well worth the trip. Bev was an excellent hostess and she was quite knowledgeable. The wine store is in a century old building and you drive under a 'bridge' to get to the store. The wines are quite good and very reasonably priced. They even have banquet... More

Not very busy when we went. Really nice property. Didn't care for the chocolate cake pop served with the Cab Franc Icewine. The Icewine was very good.

My wife and I stop in at Hernder winery every time we head to Niagara for a night over. All wineries are staffed with friendly employees, but there's just this different feel to the environment. We went in to pick up a lovely bottle of wine and ended up getting a case of mixed. The 2015 Riesling is very good... More

First off, let me start by saying that this is my favourite winery in the Niagara Region and that I have been a repeat visitor and customer for many, many years. The poor reviews below? Honestly can't believe them. I have never had a bad experience here - and have been here when I was the only person in the... More

i am attracted by it's beautiful wooden house and bridge, also a pond with fountain in front if it, the whole picture is absolutely beautiful, and the real picture is as good as you see online. Since many of the comments here said that the staff is unfriendly, so I didn't get in, but just take the picture outside, as... More

We visited Hernder Estate Wines in Sept. 2016. The staff was very knowledgeable and welcoming. We sought out Hernder specifically because of one of their wines that I drank in a restaurant at the Falls on a previous trip. I bought plenty - and look forward to enjoying it. I highly recommend this winery!

I went to a wedding reception at Hernder Estate on July 16th. The venue is located in wine country - one of the most gloriously natural and beautiful places I've ever seen in Ontario. The reception took place in a centuries old barn which has carefully been restored. It is flanked by a two stunning outside courtyards where guests can... More

Waste of my time. As a part of an 80+ group of friends out for a nice Sunday morning cruise we planned a Tour and Tasting here. We weren't greeted when we walked in (let alone the scowls on their faces). I had to use the washroom so we politely asked to use it. This was answered rudely with both... More
