It's a great view of Thunder Bay from 1,000 feet up and I recommend for any visitors. I was hoping to be able to hike even higher, up the rock, but the trails were not maintained and it would not be possible without severe scratching...More

Mount Mckay is a short drive out of town but well worth the time it takes. They charge a small fee is charged at the gate and then you're able to drive right up to the lookout. A possible sunset site. The view is endless

Wonderful view of the city, along with the ability to appreciate the postings and statues of the First Nations people who own the land. There is a small fee to get in but well worth it.

Day or night, the view is superb. Lake Superior, the Sleeping Giant, Lake Boats and "Salties" in the harbour, and the city of Thunder Bay stretching North to the horizon. Great pictures
