Our first trip to an amethyst mine. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed our visit. Bring bug spray! It would be a great place to visit in spring or fall too

Spent an hour here and left with at LEAST 40 lbs of amethyst and quartz for 25 bucks. Will definitely be coming back again throughout the summer!

Great place to pick amethyst-just lying on the ground! We spent two days looking and went home with about 50 lbs of crystals. Not many gem grade but tons of fun for a family rock hunt!

We went to Blue Point in June in the rain. We were the only people there and it was great! We got two big pails of gorgeous amethysts and bought a great big one from the owner. Had a blast and will be going again!

Are their hours seasonal? We are planning a trip up in late April and would like to stop and mine, but we can't find a website.

You should find them open, I have visited in Jan, March, Aug and September. Take care on the roads as during the heavy snowfall period the logging trucks create deep ruts which don't correspond with car or light truck... More

You'll have to call and ask. They told us they close at the first snow, and that comes pretty early to Canada by American standards.
