nice view but you pay for it

It is pricy to view the lake or the city. It is still a marvel of our time. Had to do it once, since it is in my country. But ounce is enough.

We were nervous about our trip as it was a cloudy day for going up the CN Tower. But after getting to the top, even with some low laying fog you could see all of the Toronto area! I would highly recommend going before the mad rush at 11am as it feels like you've got the whole place to yourself!... More

I live and work in NYC. I've been to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Basically, I've been around some of the world's finest architecture. I finally made it to the CN Tower and I have to say this could be the best structure in the world. The Burj has jaw dropping size. It has... More

A few said it's boring, I disagree strongly. The view from the top of the Toronto skyline makes you stay up there and admire the beauty of this city.

You have to do this, the views are amazing! On a clear day you can see for miles and also see the beautiful neighbourhoods mixed with the skyscrapers. Step on to the glass floor if you dare! You can have a professional photo on it to! Lift goes up around 15mph, not too bad at all. Glass fronted lifts for... More

It's cool but pricey. $170 for 2 adults and 3 kids and it's all over in half an hour. Slight rip off. Plus they try and get you again with the photos. $60 for a set or $30 for one. Ouch. Nice views though...

We heard that the new chef and menu were excellent so we booked for my wife's birthday lunch. Everything was superb and the views are stunning.

Yes, its just a building, but its iconic, how can you come to toronto and never go up the cn tower? You have to! Great view, scary glass floor, and if you are a billionaire you can even buy a coffee at the restaurant. Otherwise eat a hotdog for $10 on the street corner below.

No trip to Toronto is complete without the CN tower, mindbogglingly gorgeous views. I'd recommend this to anyone. We ate in the restaurant (Horizons) which is very good value. It's worth paying the extra $12 to go to the higher level where the views are spectacular.

Thank Marcus G

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
