I have been up to the top of lots of towers in the world. They are generally mostly the same where ever you go. This is good, on a clear day you get a great view of the city and the airport plus the lakes. We could even see the mist from Niagara Falls in the distance the day I... More

Ate on the lunch set menu as this looked to be better value than the evening version. Although the food was lovely, we really just visited for the view which was great!! It's far better to take in the views whilst eating than from the crowded viewing deck, just make sure to book a table next to the window.

Panorama flying in or out in airplane are alot better because it is significantly higher; although much more brief. I am not one of those who value a better view from a higher vantage point because I enjoy the details of a visit to places more than seeing it from a distance. There is a restaurant up on top but... I've spent time in all the levels and this is a great building. The food is good, prix fixe makes it a steal. Views are great from the deck. Can't beat the view.

Features: 360 Restaurant: A good place to eat and watch the scenery. This restaurant spins (not too slow, not too fast) and has good food. A little expensive though. Edge Walk: Scary and cool. Glass Floor: Can see the floor below, very scary. Observation Points: Good scenery, can see Toronto very clearly.

I really wanted to go up in the CN tower. Fortunately for us I chose a time where there were no lines, and the cost was reduced. I was happy to see the city skyline and locals in the distance.

I visited the CN Tower with a few friends while staying in Toronto. We decided to take a tour and were glad that we did. Our host provided us with lots of information about the history of the tower. We had the option to do some bungee jumping thing, but we passed on that. A great landmark to visit!

Although an impressive feat of engineering and an important part of the city, don't pay just for the view. If you've been up a tower before, don't spend CAD$40 to do this for the view. Perhaps winter is the wrong time to go, but thought this was very overpriced for what it was, wouldn't recommend it.

You get to see nice views of the city, so that's a plus. I was expecting the glass floor to be more exciting though.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
