This is a huge zoo so wear comfortable shoes and bring your hats, sunscreen & water bottles! Lots to see, many animals. Slightly confusing to follow the map at times and we missed a few animals but overall great experience. Lots of on site food...More

The zoo hasn't changed too much from what I remember. It's nice to see some rehabilitated animals. I found it odd many of the animals were sleeping right in front of the glass. Overly pampered, or bored... I'm not sure.

Do spend the $8 per person for the zoomobile. It's impossible to see much of the zoo otherwise. Bringing lots of snacks and taking breaks is a must. The promise of popsicle breaks kept my kids walking the 5 hours that we were there.

Depending on where you are downtown and the time of the day, you can expect it to take a good 45 minutes-1hour to get there.
