The theatre is small & intimate (only 90 seats). It appeared like there wasn't a bad seat in the house (orchestra level). The stage crew do a fantastic job. Impressive sets & lighting system. The ceiling is stunning. The only downside that I noticed is...More

I always like seeing a play here close to Eatons centre, The theatre is historic yet comfortable and on the subway and TTC route. Parking is close if you are driving. The acoustics are goood.

Had front row balcony seats for the Grease performance. Those seats have a visual obstructions. Paid full price for the seats and nowhere did they claim that the safety rail is at eye level. I am 5'5" and really did not see much of the...More

They advertise all year round tours on Thursdays & Saturdays which you cannot book but we were there on Saturday last, 6th and no one showed. We even went to the Stage door but security there had no idea what we were talking about. Very...More

My daughter and I recently saw Grease the musical here. The theatre was quite impressive. The balconies were beautiful. The venue is a perfect size and I don't think you could get a bad seat. The only thing I didn't care for was the 'hanging...More

Didn’t realize that Elgin & Winter Garden we’re built so long ago. Only theatres in the world built one above the other. The place was squeaky clean and the employees were all very kind and helpful. Would definitely see a play here again.

Recently had the pleasure of visiting this theater to see Grease. The theater is very quaint. Small with excellent views from pretty much any seat. The decor is like stepping back in time. A very intimate experience.

We saw "Grease" here last week. The theater is impressive, but the play was not . It's dated to the point of being offensive. Many of cast are TV starts and their talent did not transfer to live theater. Mediocre acting and singing. Maybe time...More

The Elgin Theatre is simply beautiful. Small enough to keep it intimate. Saw Christmas show, which was very good. The coat room is downstairs as are the individual restrooms, which seemed small for a theatre (only one person at a time).

Stage door sometimes refers to the back exit/entrance for actors, so I'll assume this is what you mean. If you call the box office I'm sure they can help. It's an old building, so it's possible there's no stage door. If... More

The seating is good anywhere, I would say. No need to pay top dollar to get a good seat in the house and enjoy a show.
