We went to see Mary Poppins and were blown away by the production! It was phenomenal acting, great story and a most enjoyable evening. We look forward to our visit next year and hope to attend other play.

This production was terrific and especially children friendly. Kate Sur as Mary Poppins is exceptional and a talent to behold. She embodies Mary every moment of the play. This was my first visit to Lower Ossington and I look forward to may more visits. The local restaurants were great!

3 actors put on a thought-provoking play about the challenges and frustrations of poverty, that environment and perceived discrimination. Everyone has s history. For some a tragic past that molds a painful and troubled present and future. Well done! See it! Theatre 2 seats are horrible and need to be replaced

We have attended various shows, from operas, ballets, broadway, etc. My wife planned for us to see West Side Story as a first year anniversary present. Neither of us had been to Lower Ossington and didn't know what to expect. The staff was exceptionally courteous, making us feel like we were part of a family. From the beginning to the... More

I have seen a few musicals at the Lower Ossington. After each show, I think that they will never top this. And again they have. Their production of West Side Story is amazing. This is the first time that I have seen a Maria and Tony that look like they are truly in love. And those kisses! I have seen... More

Really enjoyed West Side Story the musical here. The cast were all wonderful and there is a little cafe area where you can buy drinks and snacks at the interval. Probably best to get a taxi here from downtown. A really great evening of musical theater - we will be back!

Came to see West Side Story. Not only were the performers excellent, there was literally not a bad seat in the house. We were in the second row and the action was 8-15 feet away at all times. A great experience and the area around the theatre looked really cool as well.

The production of Joseph was outstanding. Lively energetic and modern. A thorough delight. We see most of the productions at this theatre and most are top notch.

This is a small theater in a second floor storefront location. We saw "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" The cast was full of great singers and the show was fun and spirited. I highly recommend this for a fun night out.

This was the first show I saw at LOT. Wow, it was incredible. It was true to the story, had a fantastic and energetic cast, all very talented, a simple set (no more was needed) and a fair bit of humour (the camel in "Poor Poor Joseph" had me howling), etc., it was all wonderful. Very impressive to see so... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
