We visited this mandir (temple) on a foggy day in mid February with a large group of people from our club. I regretted the day was foggy for it was hard to take in the exterior characteristics of the building. We received from our guide a overview of the hindu religion, a video on the history of the mandir, a... More

The place is beautiful, no doubt! But it's overhyped. Moreover this temple represents Hinduism but I felt that they like to represent the "Gujrati" culture. Even the prayers were being done in Gujrati Language. I like the shop as the snacks were good but again the place is costly and they are doing great business.

They gave my friend a piece of fabric to cover over her top however there were Indian women walking around wearing more revealing backless crop-top like blouses. They... More

Definitely feels you have left Toronto and travelled to a temple in the east. I would highly recommend this place for someone seeking a peaceful day in a beautiful house of worship.

This is a very unique place I'm the GTA, the fact that they have brought in the material from all over the world makes it even more special.

The Swami Mandir in Toronto is a very peaceful, majestic building and a place of worship for Hindu followers in the greater Toronto area. Make no mistake, this is not an attraction, this is a sacred place and a Mandir of worship. Prayer and worship services are offered several times a day and this is a very active Mandir. They...
