When I tried to confirm my appointment with the owner, she was incredibly rude. She told me that my appointment may be available, but that they were thinking of cancelling. That's pretty atrocious customs service.

Summerhill Spa's customer service representatives were rude. They cancel appointments with very little notice as they did in my experience (less than 20 hours to be precise).

I booked a three-hour couple's treatment months before my anniversary with my girlfriend. I called to confirm our booking twice. Less than 24 hours before our appointment, I received a text message from the spa telling me that they could not honour it. When I called to address the situation, the individual on the other end told me that this... More

Walked in for a two hour appointment and no one seemed to know I was coming. I have been to this spa four or five times and had really good experiences. This last time probably will be the last time. Hot stone massage was the worst I have ever had and the facial was equally as bad.

One of the worst waxing service ever seen. After few minutes, like 30% done, i have been asked to leave because the estetician was busy. I refused, they kept me there 2 hours. In which they complained and when i got home, i realized i was full of hairs everywhere, like they didnt do the job completely: to save on... More

As a dual birthday celebration, my boyfriend and myself went for a couples massage and pedicure. Although the pedicure was relaxing (lying down on massage tables) both our heels could have used alot more attention than what they received. I got the polish and my boyfriend had the hot oil treatment. The hot stone massage was "ok" however obvious it... More

We have been to Summerhill twice for couples massages. The first time I found that although the massages were really good, I found the spa was very modest in decor and offerings. I did, however, love the hours and ease of booking. My boyfriend was very impressed with his massage as compared to various other spas throughout the city, including... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
