This is such a beautiful venue. You feel like you are walking into history, you can almost sense the ghosts of performers past in the building. It is exceptional, cozy and a perfect ambiance for a concert of your favorite artist or any venue. The entertainer feels attainable to you as you are close in every corner of the room.... More

My son & I went to a concert at Massey Hall on Saturday, April 29, 2017. The band Tycho was amazing so five stars there! However this review is about the facility. This was my first visit back to Massey Hall since the 1970s and my 'hype' to my son about how cool Massey Hall is, was met with a... More

As far as I am concerned there is not a bad view in the place. Yes, the seats are a little close and you can hit your knees but it is a small annoyance when you can get tickets to see a great Canadian performer like Tom Cochrane. We had a great night!!

First time at Massey hall. Attended a Tom Cochran concert. We had a great time. Staff was helpful. Seats comfortable. Sound was great. Only thing to watch for when buying tickets is the pillars obstructing view from some seats. Ours were ok but some others seemed to be surprised and upset. I would prefer this venue for a concert over... More

When you first look at this building you think it looks dark and dingy, but when you walk in you can feel the culter and history it has. It is almost like the walls speak to you of all the events that have happened here over the years. We came to see Joe Rogan and were surprised at how fast... More

Great venue...All seats are good, intimate but not stuffy. A Toronto landmark and a perfect place to see a concert or performance.

We were sitting in left gallery for Sigur Ros when they came to Toronto back in October. The seats are wooden with absolutely no leg space. I'm a pretty short person so I was able to sit fine but my tall friend struggled a lot. We could barely see the stage as we were the 4th row from the very... More

Visited Massey Hall for a recent concert. The facility is amazing. So much heritage and character. The acoustics are absolutely remarkable. The musician and his support band stopped using the microphones and amplifiers and played the hall for a few songs without assistance. It was so real, and pure. What an experience. Can't wait to go back.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
