I remember the Windsor Art gallery from a time it was housed in a former brewery, and there was plenty of space then, with many different exhibit halls and a very beautiful cafe where one could sit in between exhibit halls. Then the casino came into town and the gallery was pushed out into the Devonshire Mall, which was interesting... More

Have been here many times keep hoping it will be better as I love art. They have changing shows. Parking is very little. Not easy to find.

This art gallery is small and located over two floors, but holds interesting permanent and changing collections, including art from Andy Warhol and Picasso. Admission seemed a bit high at $10 per person (no reduced fees for seniors or students) but it is a nice way to spend an hour or more.

2 Floors of artwork by mainly local artists of the past century. I especially enjoyed the wall on the second floor displaying well over 50 paintings by numerous artists. This was especially pleasant to slow down and take in the many different artists' styles and creativity. I'd like to see some present day local artists' work displayed.

The last time I went to the Art Gallery was in July of this year to celebrate my friends birthday, this is one of the places she wanted to visit on her day....she didn't have to twist my arm, I just wish we would have had more time. The "tableau's" are always changing which merits another visit soon, go, you... More

We first went to visit the Art Gallery on a Monday only to find it closed. Please note that it's closed Mondays although the adjoining museum was open. We did return the next day and were very pleasantly surprised to find the art the had on display although in some rooms, there was no description of the artist's work. We... More

We often went to Sundays in the Studio with our children for a free art class and then we'd wander a bit. It's not free anymore, but it's still nice to stop in. When we were there they had a great exhibit of marionettes from an old TV program and it was very fascinating/different. I'm not usually a fan of... More

Paid admission for 2 floors that we saw in 15 minutes. Unfriendly staff, felt unwelcome, come in but get out. It was weird, new museum on first floor which doesn't make sense, too much crammed in one space. Only good thing was the view of the detroit skyline. Will not go back.

My mother was visiting over March Break and we decided to take the kids to the Art Gallery of Windsor. I had been there before for events but never when the museum was open. I must say that the event spaces are stunning and their views of the riverfront and Detroit Skyline are a perfect backdrop for an event. My... More
