Kinky boots - 3 generations of girls

We went to PDA to see Kinky boots, my 16 year old daughter, 74 year old mom and myself. We really enjoyed the show, the music, costumes and most of all Lola!

Multiple theaters and everyone from Madeleine Peroux with Ricky Lee Jones to Cyndi Lauper in Kinky Boots coming to the stage, this is the place. Easy access, taxis, buses and site of Marche Noel each year.,

My daughter and I went to see Kinky Boots. It was a wonderful show full of energy and terrific dancing. My problem with Place des Arts though is the seats are not well arranged. You should always have the seat in front of you off-centered so that you can see BETWEEN the heads. They do not have this and I... More

Another exciting part of Montréal to visit, especially during the Montréal Jazz Festival held in late June/early July.

We attended a performance by the MSO here. It's the largest performing arts venue in Canada and welcomes over 900,000 spectators and hosts more than 1,000 performances every year. It is home to such major arts organizations as the Opera de Montréal, Les Grands Ballets Canadians, and Duceppe, and it boasts six performance halls, including the Maison Symphonique, which was... Located in the Heart Of Downtown Montreal, Place des Arts is a fantastic venue . We've seen many Standup Comics , concerts and lately Cinderella... yes I took my wife to see Cinderella. Great restaurants like Cafe du Nouveau Monde and Baton Rouge are a stones throw away and during the summers there are lots of free entertainment and food... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
