I have visited a number of churches in Montreal and also in Quebec and Ottawa. They are all stunning and this is no exception. It's the official cathedral of Montreal (although the Basilica of Notre Dame is better known) and was modelled on St Peters...More

This is a very beautiful cathedral. It locates right in downtown core. Inside and outside are nicely maintain. It is as grand as those in Italy.

If you are looking for the history of the city, this is a must stop. It will explain loads of the reason why this city was founded and how. It might be a great combination with other museums in the old port

This place is a bit touristic, but if you go early to beat the crowds. Is so worthy to go and see it. The architecture of the building and the meaning of all what is inside is so amazing.

Quite an interesting church, but pales into relative insignificance in relation to Norte Dame in Montreal.

It's as if all the churches are in a contest to out do one another! Just stunning inside! I can not imagine what it would be like if this were my home church

Another magnificent cathedral in a city of magnificent cathedrals. Very large, very imposing and inspiring architecture - the sheer scale of if and the gilted domes were very impressive. I also took in the "Mercy" exhibition which I found very moving.

The basilica is open to the public. There was no official tours or representative to show you around or answer questions. It is a spectacular space & the alter is incredible. It is tranquil & spiritual.

Classic Cathedral well worth a viewing. A good couple of hours spent reading and taking photos where allowed. Centrally positioned in Montreal and with easy access.

This is a miniature replica of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. It's spacious, airy and awe-inspiring. If there are no services going on, roam around the side aisles and behind the altar area to view some chapels and nice art work.
