Mile-End is a quaint yet contemporary quarter teaming with multiculturalism and filled with cafés, bars, restaurants, specialty grocery shops, boutiques, galleries, hot yoga spots, great bakeries and Montreal-style bagels served fresh and hot. Many of its residents are eco-friendly and artistic -- in summer, it is not unusual to see guitarists strumming a tune.

Darren made this 3 hour walking tour unforgettable! He connected with everyone in our group and took special care with those of us with food allergies. Now about the food...big portions and delicious. This is locally sourced and crafted food...time for a nap!

I love that neighborhood. You have great restaurants, great activities, you can walk to do the groceries, buy the best bagels either on St-Viateur or on Fairmount. You can walk to the mountain, to Laurier street... People that live there are just lucky!

This part of Montreal has changed so much over the last few years. It became very trendy with some very good bistros and cute little shops. Very young crowd.

This is a small noisy Portuguese restaurant. We ordered the half chicken with salad and their thin crispy potatoes. Absolutely delicious. All for $25 with 2 soft drinks and 1 tart for dessert. Our friends had the dark meat chicken with the same potatoes and...More

This is by far one of the most unusual parts of Montreal I had the chance to explore. The unique designs of the buildings as well as all the arts painted is pretty cool.

Montreal is known to have many hip neighbourhoods, but none are more famous than Mile-End. The neighbourhood of William Shatner, bagels, cafes, street art and hipsters. Mile-End is also a very diverse place from foods to people, from Jewish delicacies to Greek food, to Asian...More

I lived in Montreal in the Mile-End neighbourhood for 4 years in the early 2000s. Each time I go back to Montreal, I'm always making a point of visiting this multi-cultural part of town every time I visit the city. Although the streets of Mile-End...More

Adjacent to Le Plateau, this area has experienced a revival in recent years. Once home to the garment factories, and working class residences, it now features trendy cafes and restaurants. Parking is a nightmare, as most of central Montreal has limited parking spots for non-residents.
