I come here every year for Montreal Comic Con and it is always a delight. The convention is always super well organized and I have no problems coming in.

We always go out of our way to walk through the Palais when we're heading south from Ste-Catherine to the Old Port. The sunlight streaming through the colored glass panes make for some really peaceful, calm, views. It's just very different, which is exactly what we love about Montreal!

This is one of the most colorful building I have ever seen. Situated near to a wonderful fountain with many sculptures, one can sut and relax, loking at all the fantastic colors.

Yes this is the building you've probably seen in some of the tourist brochures/guides to Montreal with the brightly coloured glass exterior. In fact the yellows and pinks of the famous facade is just one side of what is actually a very large conference and cultural centre. It's completely free to wander round inside and appreciate the almost cathedral like... More

I attended a very large conference here in October. The staff was friendly and helpful. The layout was a bit frustrating but getting around was easy with the escalators. Lunch was not good. I'm not sure if the Palais provided or it was catered from outside but they only gave sandwiches and a can of soda. Would've been nice if... More

The Palais offers a huge number of meeting rooms, large and small, and numerous convenient restrooms. The facility also has features that many conference centers do not including restaurants and art galleries. The only downside is the inadequate number of operating elevators that some must use because of physical issues.

Came here for a conference, and must say loved the building. Along with your typical conference amenities, there were shoppes with places to eat, a Metro station, stores with amazing art for sale, and yes -- pink trees along the main hallway. The conference ran smoothly with adequate space to pass in the hallways, and well appointed and comfortable conference... More

Delivered a talk here in the 1980s and the Palais continues to hold up as a well-designed space. Conference center is near Chinatown, not far from Old Montreal, and the building is a beautiful one with great architectural features. Well-maintained, great upgrades over the decades. Still one of my favorites.

Here for a conference, and the Centre is very well arranged and managed. But it is actually an amazing building with artwork and features spread throughout that make it worth visiting just to see. The glass walls spread colour through the interior and the wall of red branches is amazing. It is huge so there is plenty of walking to... More

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
