Visited Friday night and had a good time. Tried a few of the beers and were tasty. The live music was amazing and service was good. Very casual and relaxed place with a good feel.

During my walking tour of the beautiful downtown, my son and I came across Brutopia. I brew beer and am a fan of craft beer. We stopped into the warm and inviting atmosphere and had a seat. The beer was wonderful but the food was even better. It had a Mexican theme. What a perfect combination. Also, the service was... More

A friend of mine who went to McGill told me about this bar before my trip to Montreal and suggested that I stop by at some point during my stay. My boyfriend and I went to a hockey game at the Bell Centre on Saturday night and decided to walk over to this bar for a few drinks after the... More

A real beer pub - great beer, great food nibblers, great service. A good place to celebrate with your friends and let loose. A place to relax and wind-down.

The place is cozy and not pretentious. The craft beer is good (try their raspberry beer). The live bands are even better.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
