This elevated area offers panoramic views of Old Quebec and the St. Lawrence River. Winter adrenalin junkies line up by the thousands at Les Glissades de la Terrasse to experience the rush of zooming downhill from 270 feet high (82 meters) in a toboggan speeding up to 60 mph (90 kilometers per hour) to the bottom 500 feet (152 meters) away. Located on the Dufferin Terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence River behind Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, the ride is open from mid-December through late March.

On a clear and sunny day it can't be beat

Absolutely delightful morning stroll. The Fairmont hotel as your backdrop + clear blue skies? Magical.

This is a great spot on a sunny day to enjoy the view and "watch the world go by". If you are not a wheelchair user or have walking difficulties I would suggest a walk along the full length. Starting at the ChateauFrontenac and ending on the Plains of Abraham. There are several sets of stairs along the way and... More

La Terrasse Dufferin in front of the grand old hotel the Chateau Frontenac is typically referred to as the Boardwalk by the English speaking Quebecers. In the winter an ice slide is set up on the terrace & in the summer it is a wonderful place to stroll from beginning to end which is on the Planes of Abraham. A... More

Located immediately next to the iconic Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace is a great place to spend an hour or so. It has fantastic views over the St Lawrence River and down into the lower town. There is a funicular to avoid the many steps should you wish to go down. There were a couple of street entertainers too. It's... More

Our family decided to take a self guided walking tour of Quebec City on our first day here. The Dufferin Boardwalk provided some great views of the St. Lawrence River.

We came to this boardwalk from the Citadel side and ended our walk in old Quebec for a beer. It was a really nice route.

On a lovely spring day, it's great to stroll high above the St Lawrence River and enjoy the views. Best approached from the Plains of Abraham.

A great 'promenade' with absolutely fantastic views across the St Lawrence River. It is a busy, buzy place easily accessible from the centre of Vieux Quebec.

With the Cahteau Frontenac as decor, you will admire the Beautiful St-Lawrence River and Québec South Shore. And there is lot of attraction nearby. could be a little windy though!
