The charming streets and friendly shopkeepers make this a unique and fun experience. With the backdrop of the Chateau Frontenac looming above on one side and the St Lawrence on the other, this is not to be missed in any season.

Just like old town- it’s decorated beautifully for the holidays! The streets are adorable and easy to walk around! However, getting there from old town involves a lot of steps or hills- if that’s a problem, take the funicular up and down (which was a...More

All the streets run into each area so you will not miss anything. Love this area especially in the evening. No one is in a rush and everyone takes the time to enjoy the scenery and the atmosphere. Very christmassy here.

This area is great to stroll through with plenty of shops and restaurants. The lights and decorations for the holiday season are nice to see.

We were visiting just before Christmas, so the decorations on the streets and shops were just a charming addition to our visit. It snowed just enough overnight to further enhance the experience. Riding the funicular up and down to the chateau adds to the je...More

I cannot begin to describe the magic that the decor has on this place at Christmastime. I felt like we were in the North Pole or a children's book. It was wonderful. There are carolers, the Original St Nick, Santa Claus, sleighs, Christmas trees 3...More

Loved walking in the narrow old streets, its a very live place. I went in the winter so there was one shop that had maple taffy on snow, my children really enjoyed that!

Walking around the area and seeing the shops and restaurants was a fun part of our couple's vacation. The whole old town is beautiful and unique. Visiting Quebec felt a lot like visiting a quaint European city with the cobblestone and picturesque architecture.

If you prefer by bus or train to Old Quebec City, I suggest you better join bus tour in Toronto. The price is affordable/reasonable, (not expensive). They include accommodation (3.5-5 star), is really a good deal,

We were there November 10-12 and they were putting up the decorations and setting up the Christmas village shops on the square. At Thanksgiving they will be in full swing for Christmas
