Walking thru the Plains of Abraham I spotted a nice floral display and a statue. Getting closer, I could see that the statue was Joan of Arc on a horse. The statue is very well done and the setting is great. You can't miss it if you walk just down from the museum.

It was a cold, wet day when I visited. Still, there was beauty in the park and remembering history. Nice statue of Joan of Arc. I suspect this place will be stunningly beautiful when the spring flowers are in full bloom!

I tried and failed to get close to the statue for a photo due to the depth of the snow around it. I tried valiantly but failed. This made my photo from the side of the park a little further away but it was an experience which I enjoyed. It's in the plains of Abraham park so go past it... More

There are several statues in Quebec City, but this is probably the most famous one. It's right on the edge of the Plains of Abraham park, so it's pretty hard to miss! It certainly adds to the beauty of the area!

We can see quite clearly how France is connected with Quebec. First there is a bust of Louis XIV and now I found a statue of Joan of Arc. It is located in the Joan of Arc Garden. Yes, Joan of Arc has her own garden in Quebec City, even though she lived in the 15th century in France. The... More

On our way to see the Plains of Abraham we took the path to the right. Followed the humorous painted foot steps on the sidewalk. Slight uphill incline. Did see horse drawn carriages, perhaps we'll take one next time. Found the Joan of Arc Statue in the middle of a beautiful sunken floral garden. If you walk just a little... More

Walked past and the area was set-up for a winter wonderland. Unfortunately it was not yet open to the public. The statue and surrounding was gorgeous. Wish the play land was open!

This small garden is ringed with flower beds. It is slightly sunken giving it a warm cozy feeling. We found it a perfect place to relax and even had our breakfast here one morning. there's a handy drinking fountain on the east end of the garden.
