This is a lovely walk from the Chateau Frontenac along the Terrase Dufferin. You then have to climb over 300 steps up to the promenade. It's then a boardwalk across to the citadelle. The views on the top are really good.

In such a hilly spot, it was a nice change to find somewhere that was flat to walk on. Full of people on a lovely summers day, it was a great walk. The river flowing alongside was another point of interest, with its width and...More

Nice easy walk with beautiful view on the St-Lawrence river, the ferry service, Ile d'Orléans and the other shore (Lévis). Lovely during the evening too. Easy to access, a must see.

The views of the St. Lawrence seaway from this walk are very beautiful. The walk has quite a few steps, but it should be comfortable unless you have mobility issues or small children. We had our 4 year old and she only required some carrying...More

We started along the boardwalk and just kept on going. Follows the citadel providing lovely views of the river from high above. The trail actually goes all the way around the citadel if you keep following it, even when the boardwalk ends. The boardwalk is...More

This walk is very pretty and gives you great views of the river and harbor. It's a fun place to people-watch, and there is a delicious bakery along the way.

Great walk along harbor, better to walk downward - steps going up are challenging. Best to do during daytime hours, viewing diminishes at night at some secluded areas on promenade.

Yes, there are a lot of steps, but they are separated by flat walkways. The views are lovely, and it's a nice way to spend part of your morning or afternoon.
