This is part of Quebecs history. It's interesting and dramatic. Canons line some Olof the walls. We walked along the wall and had great view of the city.

Some of the best views, both from the city and also the fortifications and the citadelle. Very interesting to learn about the history of Quebec.

We had to get our photos on the fly as we drove through the old city walls. It is not conducive to stopping anywhere nearby for photos. One would have a greater appreciation of what they are experiencing after looking up the history of Quebec City and the old city walls.

We first went around on the Quebec City tour and then came back and walked through the parts we had seen. Please take water and food as there were no places opened to stop for a drink when we were walking around

These are kind of hard to miss for people walking around the old town in Quebec, but if one takes a moment to figure out what they are, it adds to the overall experience of a visit to Quebec City. Because of the nature of the fortifications they tend to make pretty good lookouts for the rest of the city... More

The old city is wonderful and scenic. The old wall has been left intact and is a delightful highlight as you stroll through the streets. Each gate is a portal to new pleasures, gastronomic, architectural and cultural.

Walking around this city it is hard to get lost with the great well kept fortifications still surrounding the city. It gives such a great vibe to walk into...like walking back into time of the old days!
