While walking in the lower town of Quebec City, I found a bust of Louis XIV. It is located at the Place Royale. I was a bit astonished about this, so I went to find the reason why. King Louis XIV Statue is a statue of no particular interest situated in the middle of the plaza in front of the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church. If you happen to be there - fine, otherwise don't waste your time looking for it

This is rather a small statue, considering the grandness of the individual it represents; therefore, it is often hard to detect it without benefit of the tourists which hover around it in order to provide photo ops, etc. Still, though small, it is rather elegant and I think the mere fact that it stands here, in the Place Royal in...
