The caves are just fabulous, no problems with photos, although the price of 18euros seems a little high once inside that is forgotten. After the short tunnel you turn a corner and nothing can really prepare you for the sheer vastness of the first cave. Amazing.

40 degrees C outside and 12 degrees C inside, be sure to bring a sweater or jacket on your way to Grotte de Frasassi¨. We have been to a couple of grottos on our trips but this was by far one of the most spectacular! Beautifully organised with good guides and wonderfully clever details about the system. Absolutely magical!

Wonderful, extensive unspoiled caves. Good guides. Only downside no photography. Not too cold (but we're from Scotland!)

Most travelers in Italy are enthralled with the beautiful hill towns, churches, piazzi, and a overwhelming range of historic sites. But one shouldn't overlook the natural wonders that abound, one of the most amazing which are the Caves of Frasassi. We visited on a damp chilly day - we were on our way from Umbria to destinations further east in... More

My husband and I visited the Grotte di Frasassi in July, and it was a highlight of our time in Le Marche. The caverns are awe-inspiring and well worth your time and money. We hung back after our tour and took our time to backtrack in order to see some of the splendor for a bit longer (and ended up... More

The score is an average of 5 (the caves themselves, stunning and majestic) and the value of the visit. The guided tour itself is quite overpriced at 15.50 euros for 45 minutes (not 75 minutes as stated on the website, even including the shuttle rides to the entrance and back). Photography is not allowed, even without flash - something that... More

These are the most spectacular caverns that I have ever been in. From the unbelievably large first room, to the variety of formations, the sites were spectacular. The guide spoke English well, and gave us an extensive tour of the whole facility. The facility is also very well maintained with clearly lit walkways. Be warned that unless you buy a... More

We were lucky enough to have Aldo as our guide who gave a wonderful tour in English. If you are near this area you must see nature in spectacular form. Keep in mind there are a lot of steps during the hour plus tour. The small museum within walking distance is included in your ticket and is worth the short... More

Spectacular experience if grotto exploring is your thing. The mood is elevated by natures magnificence. Our group was led by a superb geologist whose English was easy to digest as was his unique ability to add humour inside mother-nature's bowls
